Last offseason, it appeared that McCall was all but a shoo-in to commit to the Tigers. He even planned an official visit to the school, but abruptly canceled. Now a year later, Auburn is still looking for a game-changer at quarterback and McCall is once again looking for a new home.

McCall would be a clear upgrade over the Tigers’ current starter Payton Thorne, who seemed like a consolation prize after Auburn failed to land any of the big-name transfers last year. For McCall, he would get the opportunity to lead an SEC team with a rich history, a high-powered and spread offensive system and plenty of NIL support. If he is interested, McCall could be the piece to help the Tigers return to SEC glory.
