At the moment, Texas state law doesn’t allow high schoolers to monetize off NIL, however, Missouri state law is in favor of NIL compensation. Johnson was able to become the first-ever high school athlete to partner with Panini America (autographed trading cards and memorabilia) after he transferred out of Lake Highlands in Dallas.
