10 best NBA players to ever come out of the Philadelphia area
10. Rasheed Wallace, PF
Wallace spent the majority of his professional tour with the Portland Trail Blazers, but it was the year after he was traded from the Pacific Northwest that he won an NBA Finals championship with the Detroit Pistons.
Wallace attended Simon Gratz High School, where he was the USA Today’s High School Player of the Year as a senior. He averaged 14.4 points and 6.7 boards in his career, which spanned six different teams. Wallace was the fourth overall pick of the 1995 NBA Draft after attending the University of North Carolina.
Rasheed Wallace was tailor made for todays NBA. He could cook you on the block, shoot the lights out from beyond the arc, pass and defend at a high level. Elite stretch four or five today. pic.twitter.com/7xzyVgMobm
