Ty Thompson transferring; 5 landing spots for signal caller
3. Cincinnati
Thompson was not recruited by Cincinnati out of high school but did receive a scholarship from Scott Satterfield’s previous program, Louisville. The Bearcats will need a quarterback after starter Emory Jones exhausted his eligibility this past season. Satterfield is a former quarterback himself and is known for his offensive scheme, so adding a player of Thompson’s talent to mold would help his unit rebound heading into the second season.
While Thompson may not have any familiarity with the program outside of Satterfield, he should be interested in joining a Power 5 program with a solid opportunity to start. Cincinnati struggled in its first season in the Big 12 and landing a transfer of Thompson’s talent could help the team bounce back and become respectable in its new conference.
