3. Dallas Cowboys

The Cowboys have looked like the best team in the NFL on multiple occasions this season. They have also looked like a team that could suffer another premature playoff exit, particularly in blowout road losses to the 49ers, and most recently the Bills. Prior to the Buffalo loss, Dallas had won five straight and beat the Eagles in Week 14 to grab the NFC East lead. Winning the division seems significant for Mike McCarthy’s squad as they are undefeated at home and have outscored opponents 279-108 at AT&T Stadium. The remaining schedule isn’t easy with games against the Dolphins and Lions upcoming, but Dallas’ offense – which ranks No. 2 in the league in scoring – has proved capable of keeping pace with anyone. The Cowboys’ defense is also a top-five unit, making Dallas capable of reaching its first Super Bowl since the 1995 season.
