Rashad Amos enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB
5. Tennessee
Tennessee was one of the most notable programs to offer Amos coming out of high school. While that was a different staff led by Jeremy Pruitt, Josh Heupel may need running back depth this offseason and Amos could have interest in returning to the SEC. Jaylen Wright was a 1,000-yard rusher in 2023 for a Volunteers run game that ranked No. 12 in the country with over 200 rushing yards per contest. Wright recently declared for the NFL draft, leaving the Vols with senior Jabari Small and sophomore Dylan Sampson. That is not a bad combo assuming Small returns, but adding someone like Amos could give the Vols a three-headed monster in the backfield alongside what is likely to be an inexperienced starting quarterback in 2024.
