TJ Finley enters transfer portal; 5 potential landing spots
4. Nebraska
Though the Cornhuskers didn’t recruit Finley out of high school, Nebraska head coach Matt Rhule did when he was the head man at Baylor. While Rhule didn’t win Finley’s services back then, he could use the quarterback now.
Even with the arrival of incoming freshman Dylan Raiola, the Cornhuskers could use another quarterback while their star recruit waits in the wings. Part-time starter Heinrich Haarberg showed some flashes last year but struggled overall finishing with 967 passing yards, seven touchdowns and seven interceptions while rushing for 477 yards and five more scores. Finley would be an immediate upgrade in the passing game and his leadership would also help him serve as a mentor to Raiola as he prepares for his turn as the starter.
