With the departure of head coach Kalen DeBoer, the Huskies also potentially lost their future quarterback as previously committed Will Rogers reentered the transfer portal. Washington and new head coach Jedd Fisch are facing a dilemma as they currently have zero scholarship quarterbacks on the roster and only one coming in the 2024 recruiting class.

Though there aren’t any direct ties to Finley on the staff, the Huskies are desperate to add arms and to add an experienced player of Finley’s skill level would be a huge win. For Finley, Washington would be a jump back into the Power 5 and a chance to increase his NIL earnings as a quarterback for a Big Ten squad fresh off of a national championship game appearance.
