Top 10 NBA rookies through first half of 2023-24 season
3. Brandon Miller, F, Charlotte Hornets
Miller was one of the most-hyped freshmen in college basketball last season and his skills have quickly translated to the NBA. Like a few of the league’s top rookies, Miller is on a team that continues to struggle, but the Hornets certainly appear to have a building block for the future with the 6-foot-7 forward. On the season, Miller has started 26 of the 32 games he has played for Charlotte, averaging just shy of 14 points as well as 3.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists. Miller has shot 41.5% from the field and continues to improve his outside shot with a 37.6% shooting clip from deep. The No. 2 overall pick has six games of 20 or more points on the year, and while he can still be more efficient on both ends of the floor, he’s proven to have star potential.
