5 landing spots for Kyle Lowry after being traded to Hornets
3. Los Angeles Lakers
The Lakers are barely hanging on to a play-in spot as things stand currently and are likely to be active in the trade and buyout markets during the second half of the season. There are certainly bigger splashes they can make and getting younger may also be a priority. Still, a veteran like Lowry could fit well with the current makeup of this team. Obviously, with LeBron James and Anthony Davis, there wouldn’t be any pressure on Lowry to be a main scorer, but his ability to still stretch the floor and shoot well from distance would be a nice asset. Those two players and head coach Darvin Ham would also likely value the experience and basketball savvy Lowry brings to the table. That would be key in a relatively young and thin backcourt in Los Angeles right now, one that may also move on from D’Angelo Russell.
