Top 10 Texas high school baseball players in Class of 2024
9. Sam Erickson, OF, Flower Mound
Erickson was one of the key cogs on a Jaguars’ state-championship roster last spring. The 6-foot, 205-pound outfielder was a terror in the box, hitting .421 with nine home runs, 30 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He was clutch as well as he helped Flower Mound win 12 of its 14 playoff games by hitting .561 with four home runs, 11 RBIs and 19 runs.
Erickson was named Class 6A first-team all-state and was invited to the Perfect Game National Showcase over the summer. He is ranked No. 13 in the state by PBR, ninth by Perfect Game and seventh by Five Tool. Erickson signed with Texas A&M on Nov. 8.
