DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (BVM) – The 2024 NASCAR season will officially kick off with the 66th running of the Daytona 500 as several drivers will vie to win the biggest race in the sport. However, no matter what happens at Daytona International Speedway, every driver begins the season with their eyes on the ultimate prize: a Cup Series championship.
A thrilling end to last season saw Christopher Bell, William Bryon, Kyle Larson and Ryan Blaney make the Championship 4 in Phoenix. While Ross Chastain won the final race, the points standings could not have finished much tighter as Blaney edged out Larson by one point and Byron by two points to claim his first Cup Series championship.
Each of those four drivers should have a chance at contending for a title once again in 2024, but there is a deep field in the Cup Series this season that includes several drivers who are more than capable of hoisting a championship trophy in November.
