Chastain’s four career Cup Series wins are significantly less than that of many others on this list, but it’s hard to ignore what he has done across the last two seasons in the No. 1 Chevrolet for Trackhouse Racing. In 2022, Chastain earned the first two Cup Series victories of his career at Circuit of the Americas and Talladega and earned 15 top-five finishes overall. He ultimately went on to finish runner-up in the points standings and made a return trip to the NASCAR playoffs in 2023 after a dominant midseason win in Nashville. Chastain had nine top-five showings last season and 13 races in the top 10. Although he finished just ninth in the final standings, a win in the season finale at Phoenix should give the 31-year-old watermelon farmer some momentum to reach the Championship 4 once again in 2024.
