10 teams that could make surprise runs in March Madness
Ole Miss
The Rebels are right on the cusp of the tournament, ranking as one of the last four in by ESPN Bracketology. While Ole Miss is not guaranteed to have a spot in the field, it could be dangerous if it gets an invite.
With a top-30 adjusted offensive efficiency according to KenPom, the Rebels’ biggest threat is an offense that features four double-digit scorers, two who average more than 15 points per game. Though the defense hasn’t been as efficient, wins against projected tournament squads Florida, Mississippi State, and Texas A&M help as does having an experienced head coach like Chris Beard at the helm. This all could be enough for Ole Miss to string some wins together in March.
