Cortland Hockey Stars Shine: O’Brien and Goergen Lead Team to Success in SUNYAC Tournament

Cortland junior forward Natalie O'Brien (Lockport/Niagara Jr. Purple Eagles U19) has been chosen as the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Women's Ice Hockey Player of the Week and junior Molly Goergen (Eden Prairie, MN/Eden Prairie H.S.) has been named the league's Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Feb. 18. O'Brien scored the game-winning goal with 15 seconds left in the regulation as nationally 12th-ranked Cortland upset second-ranked Plattsburgh, 3-2, last Saturday.
