Josh Jacobs’ free agency: 5 landing spots for All-Pro RB
Houston Texans
The Texans surprised everyone in 2023 as they won the AFC South in the first season of the DeMeco Ryans and C.J. Stroud era and reached the divisional round of the playoffs. The team did so with an emerging defense and an offense that looks like it is going to be potent for years to come under Stroud. That suddenly makes Houston an attractive destination in free agency, and perhaps the Texans’ biggest need on offense going into next season is at running back. After Dameon Pierce faded from the lineup, Devin Singletary played well on a one-year contract last season, so it’s possible Houston looks to re-sign him. However, the franchise may seek a more established back, particularly with the amount of cap space it has. Jacobs could be that guy and his dynamic skill set would benefit the Texans’ offense.
