Justin Fields on the move?: 5 landing spots if QB is traded
CHICAGO (BVM) – During his first press conference at the NFL scouting combine, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles gave some insight into the team’s quarterback situation prior to the NFL draft. With the No. 1 overall pick and three-year veteran Justin Fields under center, the Bears find themselves in a unique situation to either trade out of the top slot for a haul of draft picks or use the top pick to select one of the draft’s elite quarterback prospects while trading away Fields to the highest bidder.
While Poles didn’t give away his plans, he did give some insight into what he would want to do if Chicago did decide to go the route of trading Fields away.
“If we go down that road I want to do right by Justin as well,” Poles said. “No one wants to live in gray, I know that’s uncomfortable, I wouldn’t want to be in that situation either. So we will gather the information, we will move as quickly as possible, we will not be in a rush and see what presents itself and what’s best for the organization.
“Sure before free agency would be good, but like I said if we were to do something with Justin I want to do right by him,” Poles continued. “Living in that gray space you’d want to do something sooner rather than later.”

Given the ability Fields has shown over his three seasons in the Windy City, it is likely that the Bears would have several suitors to choose from to give the quarterback his best chance to succeed. With that being said, here are five potential landing spots for the signal caller.
