Justin Fields on the move?: 5 landing spots if QB is traded
Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers appear to be on the precipice of moving on at the quarterback spot. Their starter, Kenny Pickett, has struggled since being drafted in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, throwing 4,474 yards, 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in 25 games with 24 starts, going 14-10 in those contests. With Pittsburgh being perennial playoff contenders under head coach Mike Tomlin, adding more juice under center would help the team’s cause to go from a potential playoff berth to a Super Bowl run.
For Fields, the move would be a welcomed one as the Steelers have a strong cast of offensive playmakers including running backs Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren and wide receivers Diontae Johnson and George Pickens. However, Pittsburgh’s draft compensation will be lower than others on this list due to its No. 20 draft slot in each round and with Pickett still in his rookie contract and just two years removed from being a first-round selection, the team may not be interested in giving up on the youngster just yet.
