Top 10 Virginia HS baseball players in Class of 2024
3. Griffin Burkholder, OF, Freedom
Burkholder is one of the elite baseball players not only in Virginia but in the entire country. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound outfielder led his Eagles to a 23-4 record and an appearance in the VHSL Class 6A state semifinals. For his efforts, Burkholder earned second-team all-region honors and was named a PBR All-American as well. Expectations are high for Burkholder this season as well as he was selected as a second-team preseason All-American by Baseball America.
Burkholder is a unanimous top-three player in Virginia’s 2024 class, ranking second by Perfect Game and first by PBR. He signed with the West Virginia Mountaineers on Nov. 9.
