The Spartans were ranked fourth in the preseason AP Poll but have had a disappointing season, finishing 10-10 in conference play and 19-14 on the year. It could’ve been worse if Walker hadn’t remained steady throughout the season. The senior guard averaged 18.2 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists while shooting 37.3% from 3. Walker proved to be a big-time tournament player last year when the Spartans upset the two-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles behind Walker’s 23 points. It’ll take more performances like that for Sparty to return to the Sweet 16.
