Clifford Omoruyi transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Arizona State is one of a few teams on this list that was aggressive in its pursuit of Omoruyi while he was in high school. The same regime remains in place under Bobby Hurley for the Sun Devils, and with a potential need for a dominant big man, talks could ignite once again between Omoruyi and the program. The Sun Devils lost Warren Washington and Duke Brennan to the portal last year but added 7-footer Shawn Phillips Jr. who continues to develop. Bringing in a veteran like Omoruyi would ideally be able to further Phillip Jr.’s development while also masking the loss of forward Alonzo Gaffney. Although ASU went just 14-18 this season, the Sun Devils were a tournament team in 2022-23 and Omoruyi could play a role in getting them back toward that level of success.
