Top 10 Wisconsin HS baseball players in Class of 2024
9. Payten Jibben, RHP, Oak Creek
Jibben continues to display his upside on the diamond and had a spectacular 2023 season at Oak Creek that led him to be named the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Division I Player of the Year. Last spring, the 6-foot-4, 210-pound standout went a perfect 8-0 with a 0.95 ERA. Jibben struck out around 70 batters in his junior season as well, and he was also terrific at the plate for the Knights, hitting .481. Jibben continued to showcase his upper-80s fastball and exceptional off-speed pitches for Hitters Baseball Academy over the summer, and should do the same this spring. After going 23-6 last year, Jibben has Oak Creek in position to be one of the top teams in the state in 2024 before he heads off to play college baseball at UIC.
Payton Jibben really stands out physically on the mound with a strong, physical presence, sitting 86-88/89 early with a 72-76 breaker and one 77 mph changeup in the 1st for @hittersbaseba11 #BigRo pic.twitter.com/eN8n8zmomJ
