Essegian’s collegiate career got off to a hot start last year as he averaged 11.7 points and 3.7 rebounds while shooting nearly 36% from 3-point range in 35 games with 19 starts for the Badgers, earning Big Ten All-Freshman honors. However, things went south for Essegian this past season as he lost playing time to transfer addition AJ Storr and freshman John Blackwell, averaging just 3.2 points and 0.8 rebounds while playing in all 33 games with no starts.
Given the success he showed as a freshman, Essegian proved he can play basketball at the high-major level if given the opportunity. This means that he will likely draw plenty of attention from teams in the portal. With that in mind, here are five potential landing spots for the guard.
