The 6-foot-2, 185-pound point guard was a four-star recruit coming out of Garfield Heights High School in Cleveland and began his collegiate career close to home at Ohio State, enrolling early at the university in 2020. Johnson struggled to find his footing in a season-and-a-half with the Buckeyes which led him to transfer to South Carolina in 2022. His game blossomed under Lamont Paris as he averaged 13.4 points across his two seasons in Columbia, including a career-best 14.1 points in 2023-24.
Johnson is a quick guard with good scoring ability and has proven he can be a spark plug for any offense going forward. That should create plenty of interest during his stay in the portal. Here are five teams Johnson could be playing for next season.
