Meechie Johnson transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Xavier Musketeers
Although it was under a different regime, Xavier was one of the schools in the mix for Johnson coming out of high school. A few years later, the opportunity to return to his home state and play for an experienced coach like Sean Miller could still be on the table for the talented guard. Xavier struggled to a 16-18 record and failed to make the NCAA Tournament in Miller’s second season back in Cincinnati, but like most of his past teams, the Musketeers featured solid guard play. The team was led by Quincy Olivari, but 2023-24 was his final collegiate season. Dayvion McKnight could return for a fifth season while freshman Trey Green also showed some nice upside, but adding another experienced and talented weapon to that mix like Johnson alongside exciting young shooting guard Desmond Claude could get Xavier back on track next season.
