Frankie Collins transferring: 5 possible landing spots

Virginia Tech is one of a few schools on this list to extend an offer to Collins out of high school and Mike Young will likely need to make some additions to the Hokies’ backcourt again this offseason. Leading scorer Sean Pedulla recently entered the transfer portal, while the Hokies’ second leading scorer, Hunter Cattoor, is out of eligibility. That leaves a big hole at guard for Virginia Tech, but a player like Collins could help make up for the lost production. After five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, the Hokies went just 19-15 in 2023-24, leading to an NIT berth. Collins’ experience would be beneficial as Virginia Tech looks to get back to the tournament, and he could also serve as a mentor to some of the Hokies’ young guards while having an opportunity to log a lot of minutes.
