Kellie Harper fired: 5 Tennessee WBB head coach candidates
Jennie Baranczyk
Baranczyk is a proven winner and has done so at every level from mid-major to high-major. Over her 12 years as a head coach at Drake and Oklahoma, Baranczyk’s teams have gone 266-122 with six NCAA Tournament appearances including three consecutive with the Sooners. This year’s Big 12 Coach of the Year led her Oklahoma team to a 23-10 record and a Big 12 regular-season title.
While Baranczyk doesn’t have any ties to the Lady Vols or the state, that may be the difference Tennessee needs after hiring from the Pat Summitt coaching tree with its past two hires. Baranczyk has proven she can win at the high-major level and can quickly right the ship, just imagine what she could do with the Lady Vols resources.
