Roddy Gayle Jr. transferring: 5 landing spots for guard
DePaul
With former Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann taking over for the Blue Demons, he may be interested in adding some of the players from his past team. This could include Gayle, who was actually offered by DePaul out of high school as well, so there is familiarity with him as a player. By joining the Blue Demons, Gayle would reunite with a bulk of his coaching staff from his first two collegiate seasons while staying at the high-major level in the Big East.
However, Holtmann has already made several moves in the transfer portal including adding three guards in Troy D’Amico, CJ Gunn and David Thomas. While he may still be interested in adding more guards given the overhaul of the roster, the head coach may move his focus to the frontcourt. But, if he wants to add a bit more help to his backcourt, Gayle would be a solid addition for his new program.
