Oumar Ballo enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Oregon Ducks
When healthy, Malian center N’Faly Dante has shined on the court for the Ducks over the last few years, and Ballo could see a similar path to success in Eugene. Dante was terrific down the stretch in 2023-24 and nearly helped lead Oregon to the second weekend of the NCAA Tournament, but he is likely headed to the NBA after just finishing up his fifth season. While Ballo’s length, size and skill set are a little bit different compared to Dante, he would still be a terrific replacement and a key addition this offseason for the Ducks. Ballo would form a strong frontcourt duo with Nate Bittle should he return and stay healthy next season. He could also be a mentor for incoming big man Ibrahima Traore while being a leader who could get Oregon back to the NCAA Tournament.
