Mark Mitchell transferring: 5 landing spots for forward
Kansas State
While the Wildcats offered Mitchell a scholarship out of high school, there wasn’t a ton of interest from the athlete, likely because Kansas State was not a contending squad at the time. However, since the hiring of Jerome Tang, the Wildcats have become one of the better teams in the Big 12 Conference and this could help lure the Kansas native to Manhattan. Kansas State is losing some major size with Will McNair Jr. graduating and backup Jerrell Colbert transferring so it could use a forward.
Mitchell would fit that mold. A frontcourt combination of Arthur Kaluma, David N’Guessan and Mitchell sounds both dynamic and dangerous. While none play a true center position, Mitchell is tall enough and big enough to probably make it work. If Mitchell wants to return home and has a good feeling about where the Wildcats program is headed, the fit would be a strong one for both sides.
