Mark Mitchell transferring: 5 landing spots for forward

The other Los Angeles-based program, the Trojans, showed interest in Mitchell out of high school, offering him a scholarship. New head coach Eric Musselman also offered Mitchell a scholarship when he was the head coach for Arkansas so the familiarity is there both with the program and coaching staff. With Musselman taking over, USC has seen several players enter the transfer portal including forwards Vincent Iwuchukwu and Arrinten Page. Starting forwards Joshua Morgan and DJ Rodman also both exhausted eligibility, so adding bigs will be high on the Trojans to-do list even with the addition of center transfer Josh Cohen.

Mitchell would join a team he is familiar with for a coach who has had plenty of success winning transfer recruits. However, USC is another program in the midst of transition and a potential rebuild. If Mitchell is willing to take the risk, there is plenty of playing time available on the Trojans, but winning right away is no sure thing.
