5 standouts from Alabama’s 2024 spring football game
Germie Bernard
After beginning his college career at Michigan State in 2022, Bernard emerged as a nice piece in Washington’s high-flying offense in 2023 with 34 catches for 419 yards and two touchdowns. The talented 6-foot-1, 200-pound wideout has a lot of upside going into his third collegiate season after following DeBoer to Tuscaloosa, and that was on display on Saturday. Bernard led all Alabama wideouts with three receptions for 122 yards and showed a nice connection with Jalen Milroe as he gained 80 yards on passes from the quarterback, including a nice 52-yard completion. With Isaiah Bond and Jermaine Burton leaving this offseason, the door is open for Bernard to become the Crimson Tide’s next dominant wideout.
