5 standouts from Alabama’s 2024 spring football game
Justin Okoronkwo
Okoronkwo was just a three-star recruit in the Class of 2024, but he is an intriguing prospect who showed a lot of potential in his first true action on the field in Tuscaloosa. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound linebacker is still relatively new to the sport as he grew up playing soccer and competing in gymnastics in Germany. Okoronkwo is one of the top recruits from his home country and one of the most talented players from Europe overall in the Class of 2024. On Saturday, he proved why his future is so bright as he made a team-high 11 tackles, including one tackle for loss. Overall, Okoronkwo may still be a bit of a project, but he has the potential to be a key contributor early on a defense that has lost a lot of notable names.
Justin Okoronkwo is *much* further along than I thought he’d be. Alabama’s off-ball LB depth is in surprisingly good shape right now. pic.twitter.com/gY7D8rtZ6o
