Max Shulga enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

Kentucky Wildcats

Kentucky basketball will have a different look next season with Mark Pope replacing John Calipari in Lexington. Several of the Wildcats’ key contributors from this past season were expected to depart regardless, but with some of Kentucky’s incoming freshmen also reopening their recruitment, Pope is going to need to lean heavily on the transfer portal to field a competitive roster in his first season as the head coach of the Wildcats. While there is no real connection for Shulga to Kentucky as he has with some of the other programs on this list, it’s purely the style of play that makes him seem like a perfect fit in Lexington. Pope likes to play an up-tempo system that is predicated on shooting the 3-point shot, something Shulga thrives at. His veteran presence would also be key as the program transitions into a new era.
