24 former Texas HS football players chosen in 2024 NFL Draft
Jonathon Brooks (RB | No. 46 by Pittsburgh Panthers): Brooks is the first former Hallettsville player since 1954 to make it to the NFL. As a senior, the Class of 2021 three-star recruit rushed for 3,530 yards and 62 touchdowns.
Patrick Paul (OT, No. 55 by Miami Dolphins): Paul joins six other former Jersey Village players who have made it to the NFL. He was a three-star recruit who graduated in the Class of 2019.
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (CB | No. 61 by Detroit Lions): Rakestraw Jr. is the highest-drafted NFL player in Duncanville’s history. The Class of 2020 three-star recruit helped his team to back-to-back state championship game appearances.
Brandon Coleman (OT | No. 67 by Washington Commanders): Coleman, a member of the Class of 2020, ranked among the top 10 football players in Texas. He is the ninth player in Denton’s history to enter the NFL.
