Top 10 NASCAR throwback paint schemes for 2024 Darlington race

Bowman will be driving one of many classic paint schemes from Hendrick Motorsports this weekend. Of course, the No. 48 is synonymous with seven-time Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, and that’s exactly what the car will look like at Darlington as it will feature the same paint scheme from Johnson’s car in the early 2000s with Ally replacing Lowe’s as the primary sponsor. Perhaps driving the throwback car will give Bowman a bit of a jolt as, despite seven top-10 finishes in 2024, he has not reached victory lane since he won at Las Vegas in February 2022.
