Top 10 NASCAR throwback paint schemes for 2024 Darlington race

Austin Dillon, No. 3 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet

The No. 3 Chevrolet is synonymous with one of the most legendary drivers in the sport: Dale Earnhardt Sr. This weekend, the current driver of the No. 3 car, Dillon, will have a chance to drive in one of the same paint schemes that was used by Earnhardt Sr. in 1998 featuring a black and gold car with Bass Pro Shops as the sponsor. That was the same season Earnhardt Sr. finally claimed a Daytona 500 victory after 20 attempts at winning the Great American Race. Meanwhile, Dillon has largely struggled in 2024, but perhaps driving with the nostalgic paint scheme can help him earn his second top-10 finish of the season.
