The Cavaliers could see some shake-ups this offseason if they choose to move on from Darius Garland or Donovan Mitchell, but as things stand currently, Cleveland has a roster that might only be a piece or two away from contending for a championship. Perhaps the Cavs can find one of those pieces at pick No. 20 in the draft and selecting Filipowski could fill a need. Cleveland doesn’t lack size in its frontcourt between Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, but it does lack a big man who can shoot as neither of those players have developed an outside jumper. The Cavaliers do still have a similar-styled player to Filipowski with Dean Wade, but the Duke product would likely be a valuable upgrade in the long run and would add more versatility to the Cleveland offense, something that has lacked at times during the Cavs’ last two playoff exits.
