Andrew Fischer transferring: 5 possible landing spots
Wake Forest Demon Deacons
Wake Forest didn’t have the dominant season in 2024 that it saw in 2023 and suffered an early postseason exit thanks to a pair of one-run losses in the Greenville Regional. Still, the program continues to be in good hands under veteran head coach Tom Walter who could look to make a splash portal addition for the second consecutive offseason. Last year, Walter lured pitcher Chase Burns to Winston-Salem who is slated to become a first-round MLB draft pick. The Demon Deacons will also likely lose some notable position players to the draft including first baseman Nick Kurtz and third baseman and outfielder Seaver King. That could make Fischer a potential target for Wake Forest who could help mask the loss of power bats like Kurtz and King, and a couple of players who are out of eligibility including Adam Tellier and Jake Reinisch.
