9. Jack Tubbs, Sr., Stratford
Tubbs plays at a lower classification than most of the quarterbacks on this list, but it’s hard to ignore what he has accomplished at Stratford. The Tigers have won back-to-back Division 6 state championships and went 13-1 overall last year as Tubbs threw for 1,510 yards, 25 touchdowns and just three interceptions. The top attribute of the 5-foot-10, 180-pound quarterback’s game is his accuracy as he efficiently completed 74.1% of his passes last season and had a 144.8 passer rating which ranked second in the state. Tubbs, who is also a standout baseball player at Stratford, has a bright future ahead as he aims to lead the Tigers to a three-peat this fall.
