2. Nathaniel Marshall, DL, Fenwick

Defensive line talent is abundant in Illinois’ senior class and Marshall is one of the best. Marshall is a good athlete who has also played basketball at Fenwick and has played a role offensively on the gridiron for the Friars over the past couple of years as well, catching four touchdowns in 2023. However, his best play comes on the opposite side of the ball as the 6-foot-4, 265-pound standout is a force who can wreak havoc in opposing backfields thanks to his agility and athleticism. Last season, the four-star, top-100 recruit posted an impressive stat line with 38 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, six sacks, four forced fumbles and four blocked kicks. Big numbers are likely in store for the senior defensive lineman again this fall before he joins Auburn next year, flipping his commitment from Michigan to the Tigers in late August.
