7. Pete Pihos, DE/FB (1942-43, 1945-46)
Pihos played for the Hoosiers for a season, served one year in the U.S. Army in 1944, and returned to Indiana University from 1945-1946, helping the Hoosiers win their first Big Ten Championship in 1945 during their only undefeated season in school history. A versatile player, Pihos led the Hoosiers in receiving yards in 1942-1943, rushing yards in 1946, and touchdowns in 1945-1946. Pihos went on to play with the Philadelphia Eagles from 1947-1955. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1966 and Indiana University’s Hall of Fame in 1982.
