Top 10 Illinois RBs for 2024 high school football season

1. Dierre Hill, Sr., Althoff Catholic

In addition to being the top running back in Illinois this season, Hill is also one of the top-10 players in the state’s senior class and is ranked as a top-150 player nationally in the Class of 2025. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound four-star recruit is an electrifying runner with good speed that has been on display throughout his time at Althoff Catholic, beginning with a 1,000-yard season as just a freshman in 2021. Last year, Hill was named an all-state performer as he ran for 1,788 yards and 25 touchdowns while averaging an impressive 13.6 yards per carry. Hill also added 163 receiving yards and threw a touchdown pass. The Crusaders standout will be a must-watch player in 2024 before heading off to Oregon, committing to the Ducks this past May over a host of other high-level programs like Georgia, Notre Dame and Ohio State.
