Ranking the 10 best LSU Tigers wide receivers in NFL history
9. Brandon LaFell (2010-18)
LaFell was a special receiver at LSU who won a national championship in 2007 and was named first-team All-SEC in 2008 as he caught 63 passes for 929 yards and eight touchdowns. LaFell, a big-bodied 6-foot-3 receiver similar to Chark, was selected in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Panthers where he enjoyed several solid seasons playing in a potent offense alongside Cam Newton. However, the best season of LaFell’s NFL career statistically came with the Patriots in 2014 when he made 74 grabs for 953 yards and seven touchdowns. LaFell also had an 800-yard campaign late in his career with the Bengals before concluding his time as a pro during a brief stint with the Raiders.
