Ranking the 10 best LSU Tigers wide receivers in NFL history
7. Eddie Kennison (1996-2008)
Kennison, a native of Lake Charles, Louisiana, was a bright spot in a down era of LSU football whose speed stood out as a kick returner and punt returner before a breakout 1995 season at wide receiver. Kennison was also a terrific track athlete for the Tigers before being selected 18th overall by the Rams in the 1996 NFL Draft. Kennison finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting later that year with 924 yards and nine touchdowns. After stints with the Saints, Bears and Broncos, the 6-foot-1 wideout found a home in Kansas City where he played from 2001-07, posting back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns for the Chiefs in 2004 and 2005. Following one season back with the Rams, Kennison ended his time in the NFL with career totals of 548 receptions, 8,345 yards and 42 touchdowns.
