BOISE, Idaho (BVM) – The first half of the 2024 college football regular season has featured some explosive offenses, in part thanks to an incredibly talented group of running backs who continue to shine week in and week out.
The headliner of the group has been Boise State halfback Ashton Jeanty who has already run for over 1,000 yards this year and is on pace to become college football’s first 2,000-yard rusher since 2019.
Jeanty has put himself in the Heisman conversation and is also a favorite to win the Doak Walker Award, given annually to the top running back in the country. However, several other standout running backs are on his heels and could also have a chance to win the award by season’s end.
