Top 10 women’s college basketball players for the 2024-25 season

10. Lucy Olsen, G, Iowa

Olsen has some pressure entering the 2024-25 season as she is viewed as the Caitlin Clark replacement at Iowa. It will be hard to live up to Clark’s standard, but Olsen has proven to be one of the best pure scorers in women’s college basketball and will be a veteran leader for new head coach Jan Jensen. Olsen continually improved in her three seasons at Villanova and had a breakout campaign in 2023-24 as she averaged 23.3 points, the third-most in the nation behind only Clark and JuJu Watkins. While Olsen often lacked efficiency from deep, she still had several games with multiple triples. The 6-foot-1 senior guard impacted the game beyond scoring, averaging 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.9 steals. Olsen may be slept on entering the new campaign, but she and Hannah Stuelke could form a special duo in Iowa City.
