Top 10 women’s college basketball players for the 2024-25 season
9. Georgia Amoore, G, Kentucky
Amoore is one of the most experienced players on this list and had a tremendous four years at Virginia Tech where she became a two-time first-team All-ACC player and a third-team All-American. The skilled 5-foot-6 guard has taken her talent to the SEC at Kentucky, following former Virginia Tech coach Kenny Brooks to Lexington. Amoore will have a different supporting cast than she did with a Hokies squad that made the Final Four in 2023 but is still in line for a successful season. In 2023-24, Amoore averaged career-highs in points (18.8) and assists (6.8). She also shot a career-best 41.2% from the field and was solid from 3-point range, shooting 33.5%. Amoore immediately slots in as one of the top guards in the SEC and could help the Wildcats return to relevance as a top-25 team to start the season.
