Top 10 North Carolina boys basketball players in Class of 2025
8. Trent Steinour, C, Lake Norman
North Carolina’s senior class features an abundance of talented big men and Lake Norman’s star center is among the best. The 6-foot-10, 200-pound senior has good length and a strong post game inside, but he is also more than capable of stepping out and hitting 3-point shots. Last season, Steinour averaged 15.7 points and 10.5 rebounds for the Wildcats. He also proved to be a force defensively with over four blocks per contest. The skilled senior helped lead the Wildcats to the state semifinals in 2023-24 and has returned to help them make a potentially deep postseason run again after considering transferring to Montverde Academy in the offseason. Following his time at Lake Norman, Steinour plans to play college basketball at Clemson, committing to the Tigers this past May.
2025 Trent Steinour, committed to Clemson, has Lake Norman and his teammates in the hunt once again for a state title this upcoming season. #PhenomHoops @Coach_Rick57 @colbylewis20 @POBScout @JeffreyBendel_ @Phenom_Hoops @ty1ewis pic.twitter.com/A3dlP1WNGm
