Top 10 SEC basketball players for the 2024-25 season
9. Collin Murray-Boyles, F, South Carolina
Murray-Boyles’ numbers don’t stand out compared to some on this list, but the talented sophomore remains one of the most intriguing prospects in the conference. Murray-Boyles averaged 10.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists last season, shooting 59.7% from the field. While he struggled in South Carolina’s NCAA Tournament loss to Oregon, Murray-Boyles put up some impressive stat lines before that including a 24-point effort in the SEC tournament and a 31-point outing late in the regular season. The 6-foot-7, 245-pound forward is a bit undersized but has a nice post game offensively and can also impact the game defensively, averaging one steal and one block as a freshman. He will be tasked with taking on a bigger role for Lamont Paris this season and possesses immense upside.
